Alexa Chung - New style icon??

I met Alexa Chung a few years ago, back in my styling days when she was a 'new face' sent out on test shoots by her model agency. Whilst she was obviously a stuningly beautiful girl with a sense of style, she is definitely a prime example of someone who's taste and personal style has developed over time and with a career.
These days there are few publications both on and offline who haven't discussed one of Miss Chung's outfits when writing about celebrity style, and this is not something that has just taken off in the UK; just last week the US style site Whowhatwear daily (one of my faves) included Alexa in the celeb style line up they were running. This shows the extent of her style status based on the fact that the US is probably not famiar with any of her TV presenting/modelling work.

What is great about Alexa (and the reason i have her included her in today's post) is the fact that she really epitomises London street style. She has a beautiful 'english rose' face yet dresses in the quirky, effortless way that really epitomises the London scene and not in the 'stiff' british fashion of many before her.
Dressed in a gorgeous pink dress by british designer Luella for the Elle style awards on tuesday, Alexa showed her patriotism for home grown talent and demonstrated why she is definitely one to watch in 2008.

Alexa Chung I salute you!
